I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
