"We will examine the Maga phenomenon and see how it can be accomplished in Britain," she said. "Our guests will include the leading lights of the Maga movement."

Prior to the show's launch, there was one particularly enthusiastic supporter. "This represents the dawn of a kind of revolution," said the controversial US journalist. His conservative Just the News will carry the Truss's new audio shows.

Establishing Ties in the Conservative Media Landscape

British fellow travellers, such as a pro-Reform adviser, assisted in her set up the Truss's program. The setup is adequate, if somewhat rudimentary. The show has attracted a subscriber base of 10k in her debut week and her premiere achieved 67,000 views across the same period.

It is a modest start, but in making common cause with Solomon, the former PM is being pushed into a established conservative ecosystem producing and amplifying Maga talking points. Its obsessions include accusations of information control by the mainstream media and a desire to remove a conspiratorial 'deep state' – a force that the ex-PM holds responsible for the swift end of her short and troubled leadership.

"Just the News is not well-known past the Maga-verse, but it does have gravitas there, primarily thanks to its founder, who offers opinions on Maga platforms like the program hosted by Steve Bannon and has even interviewed Trump," said Professor Alex Hinton, who has closely studied the Trumpist political wave.

A Controversial Partner

The former PM's foray to bring the pro-Trump media model to Britain has drawn her nearer to divisive personalities such as John Solomon.

He founded the platform after criticism following accusations of circulating false stories about Joe Biden's anticorruption effort in the Ukraine, as well as disputed reports about the former US ambassador to Ukraine.

His claims were echoed across the conservative press, with he serving as a regular guest on the prominent cable news broadcast. The former president personally promoted Solomon's reporting.

The journalist's podcast and Real America's Voice show have often featured individuals such as influencer Mike Benz, a rightwing influencer whose disparagement of the US Agency for International Development was cited by the X owner as reasoning behind closing the government body.

An International Strategy

Even though the former PM's unnatural presentation and career difficulties have been mocked in Britain, a number of stateside commentators are not discounting her attempts to rebrand as a UK offshoot of the pro-Trump media ecosystem.

Professor Hinton said the expansion of the internet-based right wing in the UK lately meant the "possibility to have a growing impact is considerable."
